03 April 2020

Rosneft aims to increase effectiveness of its retail business. According to the Rosneft-2022 Development Strategy, the Company is actively introducing digital solutions to increase the speed and quality of customer service.

Rosneft uses mobile services to accept payment for fuel in both B2B and B2C segments.

In corporate sector, Rosneft retail network is the first in Russia to launch a service for fuel payment using a mobile phone. A client can use the RN-Card mobile application for contactless payment at the checkout in any of the Company's filling stations under the Rosneft, BP, PTK or Bashneft brand. Entering the agreement and activating virtual fueling cards is done on-line, in a short time frame and without visiting the sales office. Upon receiving a virtual fueling card, a driver can put it to use immediately by installing the RN-Card application to their mobile device via App Store or Google Play. The mobile application with a fueling card allows to optimise spending on fuel acquisition and related products. The service is also available in off-line mode.

The Company together with CBM (Credit Bank of Moscow) and Tinkoff Bank launched a fuel payment service for individuals via mobile applications the World of Privilege and Tinkoff. Filling stations of BP retail network (Rosneft is the operator of the network).

These mobile applications allow to pay for fuel without leaving the car. Recently number of downloads tripled for the World of Privilege application alone, which is a confirmation of high demand for such kind of services and of clients' willingness to switch to digital services.

Rosneft provides information on opportunities for contactless payment at the Company's filling stations to participants of the loyalty programme via e-mail, push and SMS-messaging. Additionally, all cash registers at the Company's filling stations (RRDB (Russian Regional Development Bank) is the acquirer bank) allow to use contactless payment methods (Apple Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay, PayPass, PayWave).
